Cybersecurity compliance, from gap assessment to audit evidence

A customer sends a security questionnaire, an insurer asks about multi-factor sign-in, or a contract requires SOC 2. Compliance stops being optional the day revenue depends on it. We get you from "we think we are secure" to controls you can show.

Frameworks we prepare organizations for

Each framework asks the same underlying questions in different words: who can reach your data, how you would know if that changed, and how you recover. We map your controls once and reuse that work across the frameworks you need.

  • SOC 2 for software and service companies selling to larger customers
  • HIPAA for healthcare providers and their business associates
  • PCI DSS for anyone storing, processing or transmitting card data
  • CMMC for defense contractors handling controlled unclassified information
  • Cyber-insurance questionnaires and customer security reviews

How an engagement runs

We start with a gap assessment against the framework you need, ranked by the effort and risk of each gap. Then we close the gaps: written policies your staff can follow, technical controls such as logging, access reviews, encryption and backups, and the evidence an auditor will sample.

We prepare you for the audit; the audit itself is performed by an independent firm, which is how these frameworks are designed to work.

Security leadership, not just a checklist

Passing an audit and being hard to break into are related but not the same. Our team holds the CISSP and AWS Certified Security credentials and has worked in banking, hyperscale cloud and national retail, so the controls we put in place are chosen for real attacks as well as for the auditor.

Frequently asked questions

Which framework do we need?
Usually the one your customers, payers or contracts ask for. If several apply, we start with the one that unblocks revenue and reuse the work for the rest.
Can you act as our security lead long-term?
Yes. Many clients keep us on as a fractional CISO after the first audit to run access reviews, vendor assessments and the next audit cycle.
Do you work with our existing IT provider?
Yes. We can define the controls and review the evidence while your current provider operates the systems.
